Virginia State Inspection

Certified, Fast, and Honest Safety Inspections in Virginia

Why the Virginia State Inspection Matters

The state of Virginia mandates an annual vehicle safety inspection for a very good reason: to protect you, your family, and everyone else on the road. A vehicle with failing brakes, bald tires, or a faulty steering system is a deadly hazard at highway speeds. Arnavalley Exon is extremely proud to be an officially licensed and certified Virginia State Inspection center. We don’t cut corners, but we also don’t look for problems that don’t exist. Our goal is to make the inspection process fast, fully transparent, and completely stress-free for our community.

Our Rigorous, State-Mandated Inspection Checklist

Our certified inspectors perform a comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper check of your vehicle’s critical safety components in strict accordance with the Virginia State Police guidelines. This includes:

  • Complete Braking Systems: We measure the exact thickness of your brake pads and shoes. We inspect the rotors for warping, check the brake lines for hydraulic fluid leaks, and test the parking brake mechanism.
  • Lighting & Electrical Signals: We ensure your headlights are properly aimed. We verify that all turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights, and interior dashboard warning lights function perfectly.
  • Steering & Suspension: We inspect the shock absorbers, struts, tie rod ends, and wheel bearings. A worn tie rod can cause you to lose steering control completely.
  • Tires & Wheels: We use a tread depth gauge to ensure your tires have the legal minimum tread. We check the sidewalls for dangerous bulges or dry rot.
  • Visibility & Glass: We inspect your rearview and side mirrors, test the horn, check the condition of the windshield wipers, and ensure the windshield is free of obstructive cracks.
  • Exhaust & Fuel Systems: We look under the car for dangerous exhaust leaks that could allow deadly carbon monoxide gas to enter the cabin.
